Description of the Position:**

As a member of the Enflo Production/Customer Success team, the Production Planner will report to the Production Manager. The Production Planner will be the primary support resource to ensure production targets are met and that customer orders are delivered on time. The Production Planner provides scheduling support, coordination of equipment and workforce resources, and evaluation of production capacity and bottlenecks. This position includes responsibility for ordering and monitoring production supplies/materials and inventory control as well as updating scheduling notes for customer feedback on order status. Key metrics include on-time delivery, inventory, and output efficiencies.

Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Implements and enforces organization policies and goals.
  • Works with sales team to establish delivery schedules that win orders and meet customer needs.
  • Ensures on-time delivery for all customers.
  • Participates in daily production meetings with sales/production team, creates and updates review boards to ensure schedules are being met.
  • Maintains a clean, organized work environment.
  • Continuously works with management to identify and correct equipment/staffing bottlenecks.
  • Recommends ideas to maximize production, improve efficiency and quality of products.
  • Directs purchasing activities for production required materials, outside suppliers.
  • Analyzes and resolves workflow problems, assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Creates and updates production related metrics (OTD, inventory status, capacity by cell, scrap) for the Production Manager.
  • Analyzes job transactions to identify, and help reduce, scrap.
  • Supports the cycle count process to maintain an accurate inventory.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies, attending trade shows.
  • Be a decision maker and takes responsibility for the decisions made.
  • Epicor experience strongly preferred – ERP experience required.
  • ERP query writing a plus.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • BS in Engineering or Operations Management, or 10+ years’ experience in similar role.
  • 5+ years in leadership roles in small to medium sized manufacturing firms.
  • Experience with LEAN manufacturing a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • PC proficiency is essential (Windows environment, Excel) and strong working knowledge of ERP systems is preferred.
